NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

2025 Urban Water Management Plan and Water Shortage Contingency Plan

 

Linda County Water District (LCWD) provides water service directly to more than 3,000-customer connections in its water service area and is therefore classified as an urban water supplier and required to prepare and adopt an Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) in accordance with the Urban Water Management Planning Act (California Water Code Section 10610 et seq.). The UWMP is a planning document, which reports, describes, and evaluates water deliveries and uses, water supply sources, and conservation efforts. The UWMP also includes LCWD’s Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP). The WSCP includes a discussion of LCWD’s management and planned actions to respond to actual water shortage conditions.  

Materials: LCWD’s Draft 2025 UWMP and WSCP are now available for public review and comment. A copy of the draft plans and update are available for review on the LCWD website at lindawater.com and the District main office:1280 Scales Ave., Marysville, CA 95901

Public Hearing: The LCWD Board of Directors will hold a Public Hearing at its regularly scheduled meeting on May 11, 2026, at 6 p.m. to take public comment on the Draft 2025 UWMP and WSCP and to consider approval and adoption of LCWD’s 2025 UWMP and WSCP. Meeting details will be posted on LCWD’s website at least 72 hours prior to the meeting.  

Public Comments: We welcome public comments, either in-person, written or spoken. You may send questions or comments regarding the Draft 2025 UWMP and WSCP to Javier Rios, District Engineer for LCWD, at jrios@lindawater.com or call (530) 743-2043. All comments must be received by LCWD by the close of the Public Hearing on May 11, 2026.
