NOTICE OF VACANCY
LINDA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Pursuant to Government Code Section 1780, notice is hereby given that a vacancy exists on the Board of Directors of the Linda County Water District. The Board of Directors will be appointing a successor to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Director Joan Saunders who served Division 2. The Board may appoint a successor no earlier than after 15 days from the date of this notice.
The appointee filling the vacancy on the Board of Directors must be a registered voter whose primary residence is located within Division 2 of the Linda County Water District’s service area. A map showing the boundaries of Division 2 is available by accessing the District’s website at: https://lindawater.com/board-of-directors, or by visiting the District Office at 1280 Scales Avenue during normal operating hours. The new Director’s appointment will run until the appointed incumbent, or a successor is elected on November 3, 2026, District Election and takes office in December 2026.
Directors set the policy and budgetary priorities by adopting or approving regulations, policies, resolutions, ordinances, contracts, and expenditures for District water and sewer services and operations. All Directors are required to attend board meetings on the second Monday of each month beginning at 6:00 p.m., and to fulfill other duties as may be assigned.
